Jean-Pierre Sakey, President & CEO

Mr. Sakey has over 20 years of diverse business leadership with a background in investment banking, private equity transactions and commercial industry. Prior to joining Headway, Mr. Sakey was President of eResourcing Americas, a division of TMP Worldwide, the parent company of Monster.com.  He was also heavily involved in Monster.com's business development strategies. Prior to selling his company, SPEC Group, to TMP, Mr. Sakey served as Chairman and CEO of SPEC Group Holdings, a leading provider of technology outsourcing solutions focused primarily in the energy sector. He led the management buyout of SPEC in 1994 and grew the business over ten-fold prior to the sale to TMP.

David Meyercord, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Meyercord brings an eclectic mix of public service and corporate leadership to his role as Headway’s Chief Operating Officer. He has more than 15 years of business development experience providing leadership, coordination, management, and vision which have effectively streamlined organizational operations. Before joining Headway, Mr. Meyercord was employed at Irwin Financial Corporation.  Rising from Corporate Development Officer to President of the Irwin’s Shared Services organization, Mr. Meyercord was heavily involved in business development strategies that increased growth and efficiency while cutting costs.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Meyercord managed projects and large scale programs in the Dominican Republic and Haiti for the Peace Corps and the Pan American Development Foundation.  Mr. Meyercord attended Wake Forest University for his undergraduate studies and subsequently earned his Master of Arts at the University of Florida and his MBA at the University of Virginia.

Joseph Yelenic, Executive Vice President & Chief Accounting Officer

Mr. Yelenic is a licensed CPA (State of Pennsylvania) and has over 20 years of professional business experience including more than 15 years in the HR outsourcing and temporary staffing industries. He left Touche Ross & Co. as an audit manager to join Mr. Sakey as VP and Corporate Controller of SPEC Group, and helped complete the management buyout of the company in 1994. Mr. Yelenic developed sophisticated costs management systems which assisted SPEC's ten-fold growth prior to its sale to TMP Worldwide in December of 2000. He remained with TMP during its spin-off and presided over the service center consolidation, then moved to Hudson Highland Group to become Director of Revenue Recognition and Cost Control before joining Headway in 2004 as Director of Internal Audit. Mr. Yelenic is currently the Executive VP and Chief Accounting Officer for the company and has most recently managed the relocation of the corporate headquarters from New York to Raleigh, NC.

Debra Brown, Executive Vice President

Ms. Brown is a proven leader in the Human Capital Management arena, with extensive sales, marketing, financial and operational expertise. Ms. Brown’s 20-plus years experience covers traditional staffing industry services, to emerging firms on the technology, managed services and outsourcing end of the spectrum. Ms. Brown leads business development for Headway’s national Workforce Solutions Group. Prior to joining Headway, she was Senior Vice President for Adecco’s Midwest Division, as well as leading the steering committee to evaluate Adecco’s MSP and VMS technology strategies. Prior to Adecco, Ms. Brown was Executive Vice President of Professional Services at Fieldglass, a technology company that provides an on-demand contingent workforce management and human services procurement solutions. While there she drove a strategic plan to revamp how managed programs are delivered to clients, including both technology and program management, resulting in stronger market competitiveness and increased revenues.

Kathleen Cavanaugh, Executive Vice President

Ms. Cavanaugh brings extensive staffing and recruiting industry experience to Headway and is responsible for the New York metro and North East regional operations for the company. Prior to joining Headway, Ms. Cavanaugh held several high level positions at various regional and global staffing companies where she consistently and significantly increased profitability and market share. Ms. Cavanaugh is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management/HRNY as well as the Financial Women's Association. She served on the Board of the American Staffing Association for both the New York and Massachusetts chapters.
